Villagers must work unceasingly to commercial fish, stock firewood, build cabins, collect water, and hunt for red meat. The younger generation must figure out how to grow and expand, while the old-timers find unique ways to reinforce their bodies after decades of struggle on the unforgiving island. Port Protections canine community takes prominence as Troy and Sarah try dip net fishing to score Brutus some salmon treats, Veronica and Carl build a ramp over tree roots to help old Sancho get around on his bad hips, and Oliver and Bree rig up a walkway around their float house for Belle and Tigger.
