(Monsters: Truth Behind the Myths: Season 1: Vampires) Dokumentární From vampires and werewolves to demons and Frankenstein, Monsters: The Truth Behind the Myths unpacks the origin story of our most legendary monsters —and tracks their staying power across the centuries. Its a historical journey to the mindsets that made them and how folklore and superstition has intersected with science and popular culture right up until today. Discover how a bloodsucking legend crept into our nightmares. Mysterious deaths fuel a vampire panic in 18th century Serbia. The fear spreads when a government inquiry legitimizes vampires. An enlightened empress outlaws vampire hunting. Then—just as science strips fiction from fact—literature and mass media give vampires a makeover that means they remain culturally relevant. (Canada)
